Everyone in my family rides, or knows how to ride. Motorcycles that is. So I grew up around a dad that always had two motorcycles, and around bike festivals and platanos.
Motorcycles are a huge deal in Puerto Rico! It’s always nice weather out, so why the hell not right?
So since I was a kid (pshhh I’m still a kid don’t be fooled), I always wanted to get a motorcycle at some point in my life. I really didn’t have a choice.
But here it is:
And there you have it folks! My first time on my very first motorcycle. My best friend decided he would teach me to ride it that day, and I learned suprisingly fast.
The bike is a Honda CB500F, and I fell in love with it more and more everyday! I enjoy riding, I enjoy the breeze hitting (more like punching) me, I enjoy the speed, the freeness, everything! And yeah, it took me a long time to become comfortable with the bike, but that’s a given when it comes to me (insert crying laughing face here). Not everybody is going to be amazing right off the bat, (especially not me) but I got the hang of it and I’m glad I was able to say I completed this item on my list!
List of recommendations for new riders:
-Get a bike for your height
-Get GOOD ass riding gear
-Leather is better
-Don’t be afraid of the bike
-California drivers are horrible
-Assume no one EVER sees you
-Always check your bike before you ride it
